Hometown: I live in Austin, Texas (the greatest city in America), but I’m originally from Decatur, Illinois.

I enjoy going to work every morning because there is always some new and exciting going on. You never know what the day will hold in the Office of Admissions at Concordia!

If I won the lottery, the first thing I would buy is … well, I don’t have very good luck when it comes to that kind of stuff, so I don’t want to get my hopes up. I’ll be crushed when it never happens.

I believe in Concordia because there are many things that set Concordia apart. Not only our small class size, but the real-life education you receive from the professors. They genuinely care about each and every student and it goes beyond the academic material covered in class. Some of the greatest things I’ve learned from the professors at Concordia were life lessons that you don’t get anywhere else.

The mission of Concordia University Texas is to develop Christian leaders. Obviously, I contribute to this mission by helping students with the admissions process at Concordia, but I see it more as giving students an opportunity to see what it’s like to be a Tornado and to understand the Concordia story from my own personal experience. It’s always great to see students grab the vision and become part of the Concordia community. You don’t quite understand the magnitude of “developing Christian leaders” until you see it in action, and are faced with chance to dive into the mission. That is the Concordia story.
